Sydney Bruchhaus,
State Secretary

Sydney Bruchhaus is from the small town of Elton, Louisiana where she grew up learning how to raise
Quarter Horses. Sydney will be a senior at Elton High School this year. She has been a cheerleader since
the sixth grade and is very active in the clubs throughout her school including 4-H, Beta, Student Council,
FBLA, the Mentor Program and FFA. While in FFA, Sydney has competed in many CDEs and LDEs. These
include Livestock Evaluation, Veterinary Science, Horse Judging, and Gulf of Mexico Speaking. She has
served as her chapter's Secretary, as well as Student Advisor. Upon graduation, Sydney plans on
attending McNeese State University and majoring in Equine Science and Animal Science. With this
degree, she plans on working at a Quarter Horse farm and continuing the legacy that her dad has made
with their race horses. Sydney Bruchhaus is proud to serve as our 2022-2023 State FFA Secretary!
